How to connect wireless printer anymore?

The problem is actually with your computer, not with your wireless printer. Setting up your printer to use DHCP, automatically configures your printer with an IP address (when the printer speaks to the wireless router).

Now, recall back, when you asked your computer to use your printer?

Your computer used an IP address, which was assigned to your printer at that time, to set up and configure the printer. Since that time, your computer was happy until it could communicate with the printer. When your printer was probably more likely to resume. When this happens, the printer asked for an IP address from your wireless router, but it was assigned a new IP address.

And because your computer was set up with the original IP address that the printer was using earlier, it can no longer find the printer on the network. You see, while using DHCP, the IP address assigned to the printer is not permanent. It eventually ends (known as DHCP lease). Similarly, DHCP works.

Because DHCP cannot rely on computers, printers, etc. To know that they are no longer on the network, a timer mechanism is designed for DHCP service, to provide the IP address (instead of permanently giving the address ). In this way, DHCP will not run out of the address and can be reused.

Therefore, when the lease expires, DHCP will either specify a single IP address or a new IP address (each with a new expiration date). The reason why a new IP address can be entrusted is that if your printer and other devices were resumed at the same time (power outage is a reason to restart at the same time).

DHCP service (running on a wireless router) can give the first device that was communicated with, the old IP address using your printer). Which means that your printer now has a new IP address.

Either use your wireless router administration interface and check the address that DHCP has assigned, or check your printer menu display and navigate to the network section.

Once you have a new IP address, go to the control panel on your computer and open the device and printer (Windows 7 and Vista) or printers and faxes (Windows XP). Next, right-click on your printer and select the printer properties (Win 7 and Vista) or Properties (Windows XP).

In the Properties window, select the Port tab (orbit in the screenshot below) then find the active port with the check next to it (click the arrow in the screenshot below) and click the Configure Port button.

In the next window, edit the printer name or IP address: Click OK to save the fields and changes with the new IP address (close any remaining window). You should now be able to Print once again.
